Responsibilities

SUMMARY
As a member of the Califia Sales Team, the Regional Sales Manager – Grocery Central, is responsible for driving distribution and sales with enthusiasm and passion for the company’s purpose, mission and values. This role requires the ability to lead broker partners and work with retail accounts and distributor customers to accomplish key objectives. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to develop customer specific strategies utilizing syndicated data to create fact-based category leadership presentations driving positive sales results.

JOB DUTIES

  • Manage existing Regional Retail and Grocery Distributor customers
  • Develop annual business growth, sales and margin plans in line with strategic goals
  • Manage Broker partner sales execution and conduct regular business reviews
  • Conduct category reviews with assigned Retail and Distributor customers
  • Management of Califia’s entire portfolio of products
  • Direct and monitor all aspects of trade promotion budget to ensure maximum impact
  • Business Development – identify and target retailers and distributors not currently carrying Califia products
  • Accurate and timely forecasts for volume, spending and profitability
  • Ensure marketplace execution of Retail programs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in food and beverage industry
  • Outside sales management experience and demonstrated sales achievement
  • Broker and Distributor management experience
  • Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce and automated trade spend systems such as AFS or AR7
  • High proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Understanding of syndicated data (IRI, SPINS, Nielsen) and how to use it as a customer management tool
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to travel 50-75%
