• Experience developing and optimizing protein expression and purification processes

Responsibilities

• Assist in production of heterologous recombinant protein from microbial host strains at various scales
• Assay development for high-throughput (HTP) protein expression screening using protein analytical techniques
• Development of purification and quantification methods for extracellular and intracellular microbial-derived proteins
• Collaborate and work closely with other members of R&D team to optimize batch production
• Work in a dynamic environment with changing and evolving specifications and requirements

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Masters (with 3+ years of relevant industry experience) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related fields
• Hands-on experience with HTP protein expression screening and protein purification methods
• Knowledge and understanding of bio-based protein production processes
• Experience with automation and robotics a plus
• Strong working knowledge of protein chemistry and functionalization
• Good time management, organizational, and problem solving skills
